In gently undulating pasture. Circular area (24m N-S; 24m E-W) defined by scarped edge (H 0.45m; Wth 3m) with external fosse (D 0.15m; Wth c. 5m) and external bank (int. H 0.15m; ext. H 0.45m). According to local information monument levelled-out to present form c. 1958. Enclosure under grass but differential growth-pattern (darker grass and concentration of weeds) accentuates line of fosse. External bank truncated NE->SE by field drain.
