The National Monuments Service's description

Situated at the base of a NE-facing slope in gently rolling pasture with good views in all directions. Identified from aerial photography (Bruff Survey: Map 15, no 29; 4/3728). The monument consists of a sub-circular area (8.7m NW-SE; 8m NE-SW) defined by a scarped edge (Wth 0.7m; H 0.2m) with an external fosse (Wth 0.7m), and an external bank (int. H 0.2m; Wth 0.95m; ext. H 0.1m) evident from NE to SE. A mature Hawthorn grows on the S of the monument and this is used for shelter by cattle.
