The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in a disused quarry. Indicated on the 1927 OS 6-inch map as 'Killacarrigeen Burial Ground (site of)', located in a quarry. There is no evident trace of the burial ground and the area it occupied has been quarried away. In 1840 the Ordnance Survey described 'Kyle a Chorrigeen' as following; 'There is a limestone rock, about 4 chains [80m] in diameter, in which children were interred in the past; but this practice appears to have been abandoned. There is a Trigl. Station on it at present' (OSNB Doon Parish, 593).
