The National Monuments Service's description
Situated in low-lying, poorly-drained pasture. The monument, heavily obscured by dense scrub vegetation, consists of a roughly circular area (diam. c. 30m) defined by a scarped edge (Wth 3.3m; H 0.9m) with an external fosse (Wth 7m) and an earthen bank (int. H 0.5m; Wth 2.6m; ext. H 0.1m). There are traces of a further external bank at NW (int. H 0.6m; Wth 3.7m ext. H 0.1m). There is a gap in the enclosing element at S (Wth 1m). The fosse is wide and flat-bottomed and the external bank is relatively flat-topped.
