The National Monuments Service's description
In grassland 150m N of 18th century Kilgobbin House and 70m W of a stream that marks the townland boundary with Cloonanna. Depicted on the 1840 OS 6-inch map as a circular-shaped area defined by a bank. The 1897 OS 25-inch map depicts an irregular shaped area (int. dims. 31m NE-SW x 16m NW-SE; ext. dims. 44m NE-SW x 32m NW-SE) defined by a bank from NNE through S to NW and a scarp from NW to NNE. Google Earth orthoimage taken 2004 shows the enclosing bank from E through S to W with the remainder of the area covered with vegetation. Monument covered with trees on 2020 Google Earth imagery.
