The National Monuments Service's description

In gently undulating low-lying pasture, overlooking the Robertstown River estuary and Aughinish Island to N, with views to Knockanimpuha and Mullaghareirk Mountains to S. A ringfort (LI010-068----) lies c. 100m due W and a church and graveyard (LI010-069001/002-) lie c. 165m to S. Not depicted on OS historic mapping. Identified in 2001 by Lar Dunne, as three conjoined penannular enclosures, as part of an archaeological assessment (Dunne 2001, 2). Described as three penannular enclosures visible on aerial photography and an EDM survey, which was analyzed as part of the assessment (Dunne, 2 and 7-8). This triple conjoined monument is visible as an obvious cropmark of a penannular enclosure (dims. 27m NW-SE x 23m NE-SW) which is open to SW. A faint cropmark of a second pennanular enclosure adjoins to N and is open to NW. The barely traceable cropmark of a third penannular enclosure adjoins to ENE and is open to E. On the ground, the enclosures have a relict profile yet are easily visible above the present ground level (Dunne, ibid). Only the southern-most cropmark is visible on Digital Globe orthophotos taken 2011-13 and Google Earth orthoimages taken 20/10/2010 and 08/04/2015.

See attached Google Earth orthoimages and plan extract of the three conjoined penannular enclosures transcribed from aerial photographs, in test excavation report.
