The National Monuments Service's description

In pasture, near foot of steep E-facing slope. Roughly circular area (32m N-S; 24m from bank to field boundary E-W) enclosed by earthen bank with external fosse. Because of fall in ground W side of enclosure is cut into hill-slope, and this is reflected in profile of enclosing element: on W side bank is high internally (int. H 1.7m) but shallow externally (ext. H 0.45m) with external fosse cut into hillside (D 0.7m; Wth 2.25m); on E side enclosing element is covered by dense overgrowth and has low internal height and steep external height falling to a shallow fosse. Enclosing element truncated by N-S field boundary E->SE. Interior, which slopes down to E reflecting fall in surrounding terrain, is covered by overgrowth around perimeter but central area is under grass.
