The National Monuments Service's description

Part of the same complex of features as LI006-091---- excavated prior to the construction of the M7 National Road. Thirteen features were initially identified during archaeological testing (licence 00E0854) of the Limerick Southern Ring Road Project by Avril Hayes (Hayes 2001, 758). The features comprised of isolated circular deposits or pits and one possible complex (Coyne & Hayes 2001, 28-29). Excavated by Hayes under an extension to licence 00E0854 (Hayes 2003, 806) the results were summarised as ‘ Many of the features excavated were probably naturally occurring and the remaining features were either circular or irregular in shape. No datable artefacts were recovered during the excavation’ (www.excavations.ie 2001; 758, 806).
