The National Monuments Service's description
Fulacht fia that was excavated prior to the construction of the section of the M7 known as the Limerick Southern Ring Road. Identified as a fulacht fia during archaeological testing and monitoring of the Limerick Southern Ring Road. Hut site (LI006-086----) 150m to the west, fulacht fia (LI006-087001----) c. 20m to the west (Hayes 2001). Excavated in 2001 under Licence No. 01E0056 ext. by Avril Hayes, the monument consisted of a low mound of fulacht material (dims. 18.4m N-S 15.5m E-W, D 0.4m), and continued beyond the line of the road to the south (www.excavations.ie 2001:788; Hayes 2001, 83).
