The National Monuments Service's description
The medieval Bishop's palace which O'Flaherty locates (2010, Fig 3, 53) in 'Church St (north) W., on site of later Villiers almshouses. The Bishop's house c. 1590 (Hardiman) ... restored by 1621 ... moved to new premises by 1663.' The location of this new Bishop's palace moved to in 16653 has not been identified.
