The National Monuments Service's description

The Urban Survey of Limerick recorded the following details about St. Martin’s Church; ‘This is listed in the inquisition of 1200-1 as one of the churches of Limerick (MacCaffrey 1907, 27, 28) and is again mentioned in Bishop Donatus O’Brien’s ordinance of 1204-6 (ibid., 116). Its site is unknown’ (Bradley et. al. 1985, 326-7).
