The National Monuments Service's description

17th century plaque / wall memorial that was originally located inside St. John's Church (LI005-017041-) but later moved to the graveyard (LI005-017042-), described in the Urban Survey (Bradley et. al. 1989, 325-6) as following; 'Westropp (1904-5, 358) notes that before the rebuilding of [St. John's Church] 1763 there was a tablet (probably a wall memorial) to John Foorde, Esqr. Mayor 1693, skull and crossbones (Fogerty 1913, 372).
