The National Monuments Service's description
17th century graveslab in St. Mary's Cathedral (LI005-017015-) described in the Urban Survey of Limerick (Bradley et. al. 1989, 322) as following; ‘Grave slab. Arthur 1649. Large slab with two coats of arms and the initials POA, EPR and the date 1649, is in the Arthur chapel'. Described by FitzGerald (1910, 130)' as following; 'Close to the above is a large slab bearing no inscription, but at the top end is a coat-of-arms—a chevron between three clarions for Arthur, and the initials P O A, 1649. At the foot of the slab is another shield, bearing a lion rampant, and the initials E P R'.
