The National Monuments Service's description

In estuarine clays on W bank of River Maigue, 60m SE of similar weir (LI004-03102-). Described by O'Sullivan (2001, 216 & 310) as 'post alignment, oriented NE-SW, 80m long. The posts, 5-9cm in diameter, are typically spaced at 2m intervals. This is probably a nineteenth-century stake-net weir'.
