The National Monuments Service's description
The Ordnance Survey Name Books describe Ballynacourtia House Lower as 'a rectangular building two stories high in good repair, and was built about 150 years ago' (OSNB). The site is now occupied by an abandoned single-storey house with a gable-ended slated roof and a central chimneystack. It is a vernacular house of 18th/early-19th century appearance.
