In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Situated on the roof over the entrance to a shell house in the grounds of Beltichburne House. It is a male head carved out of sandstone and wears a bishop's mitre. It has bulging eyes but otherwise a very flat profile with a smiling mouth. It has a roughly-cut stone attached to its back portion, indicating that it has been removed from another building, probably of sixteenth-century date.
