The National Monuments Service's description

A series of stake holes that formed no coherent pattern, and spreads of occupation material were excavated here prior to road construction (Excavation Licence No. 00E0535, Area D). Ten sherds of decorated Neolithic pottery of Linkardstown type belonging to one pot were recovered from one posthole. Two of the spreads of occupation material also contained sherds of Neolithic pottery. (Duffy 2002, 231)
