The National Monuments Service's description

A sub-circular pit (0.83m x 0.58m, D 0.14m) which contained sherds of coarse pottery, heat fractured stones and a possible granite maul was discovered prior to construction of the M1 motorway (Excavation Licence No. 00E0940). (Campbell 2002, 237).
