The National Monuments Service's description

A rectangular stoup (dims 0.25m x 0.25m; H 0.24m) with a rounded basin (diam. 0.195m; D 0.164m), which had been kept at Newtown House and is probably from the nearby church (LH025-003001-) at Newtownstalban. The stoup was purchased in 1977, and donated to Millmount Museum in 2017 (Accession No. 2017:008). It is made from a grey limestone, and is octagonal in plan with pyramid stops on four of its facets.
