The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

A small grave-slab bearing an Irish inscription (Oroit do Ultan do Dubthach do Rigni in Cassel) can be seen set into the porch wall. The inscription is preceded by a small initial cross of Latin form. The earliest date for initial crosses on Irish slabs is not known, but in Wales they can be as early as the seventh century (PRIA 61C, 101). They continued in use in Ireland until the beginning of the twelfth century as is evidenced by an example from Clonmacnoise. Located in graveyard LH022-041001-.
