The National Monuments Service's description

Marked on the 1912 'OS 6-inch' map as 'St. Dennis's Stone'. According to a note in the SMR file (dated 18 July 1964), it was moved from location marked on 1912 map and placed over St. Dennis's well (LH022-005001-) and it was described as rectangular in shape with a very even surface. Probably a natural erratic.
