The National Monuments Service's description
Discovered prior to road construction (Excavation Licence No. 00E0795), beside a stream on fen peat at the bottom of a gentle N facing slope. Approximately half the site was destroyed before excavation commenced. Excavation revealed a thin layer of burnt stones and charcoal rich soil under which lay 19 stakeholes. (Ó Drisceoil 2002, 215)
