The National Monuments Service's description

Discovered in 1993, during excavation work for the foundations of a dwelling. When inspected by the OPW a number of lintel graves were cut through and more were visible in the sections of the trenches. One grave was archaeologically excavated and recorded. This was a typical lintel grave, roofed with small slabs which rested on side slabs which in turn were set slightly below the unpaved floor level of the grave. It contained the remains of two individuals and was orientated in an E-W direction with the head to the W of the grave. All the exposed graves appeared to be at one level leading to the suggestion that the cemetery was used for a relatively short period of time. (pers. comm. Fionnbarr Moore, SMR file)
