The National Monuments Service's description
A rectangular font of limestone (H 0.47m; Wth 0.6m; T 0.58m; internal diam 0.43m; internal D 0.2m). Originated in Mansfieldstown and is now located at the W end of the nave of St. Mary's church (LH017-101007-). Decorated at one angle with a biting beast's head and at the other three with a foliate design. Between the decorated angles chisel marks cover the plain surfaces. It is probably late medieval in date. (Bradley 1984, 284)
