The National Monuments Service's description

Discovered during archaeological test trenching (Excavation Licence 94E0197). A circular area (max. diam. 45m) enclosed by a ditch (Wth 5.5m; D 2.2m) with a possible entrance on the E side. Finds from the ditch included animal bones and mussel shells. A possible souterrain (LH012-054002-) located beneath. (Campbell 1995a, 64-65)
