The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Remains of three adjacent ringforts.
Ringfort 1 D-shaped area (int. diam. 32m) enclosed by earthen bank (Wth 2.4m, H 1.6m) with no visible trace of fosse or entrance. W quadrant of bank now incorporated in modern field fence. The interior of the site is divided by an irregular low bank and scarp.
Ringfort 2 Located E of 1. Oval area (int. dims. 28m N-S, 24m E-W) enclosed by an earth and stone bank (Wth 3.6m, H 1m) with external fosse which has been recut and widened. No visible trace of entrance.
Ringfort 3 Located to S of 1 and 2, consisting of D-shaped area (int. dims. 21m WSW-ENE, 17m NNW-SSE) enclosed by bank (Wth 5m, H 1m) with no visible trace of fosse.
