The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

Circular area (int. diam. 27m) enclosed by earth and stone bank (Wth 4.3m, H 1.5m) with external fosse (Wth 5m, D 1m). No visible ancient entrance. Hut platform (LH008-038003-) (max. dims. 3m N-S, c. 2.4m E-W) at centre of interior, with souterrain (LH008-038002-) leading from its E side. Arrangement of boulders to SW of hut platform may represent a possible hut site (LH008-038004-) or a modern shelter.
