The following description is derived from both the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986) and the 'Archaeological Survey of County Louth' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1991). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.

D-shaped area (int. dims. 29m NE-SW, 23m NW-SE) enclosed by peat-covered bank (Wth 4m, H 0.5m internally, 0.8m externally) with traces of internal and external stone facing. Entrance gap (Wth 1.5m) at SE, with remains of possible lean-to structure abutting inner face of bank at E. Interior divided in two by low peat-covered bank running NW-SE. On N side of dividing bank are conjoined circular hut platforms (LH005-035002-).
