The National Monuments Service's description
In low-lying pasture. This raised subcircular area (c. 36m E-W; c. 34m N-S) appears to have been fashioned from a knoll. A report in 1976 (SMR file) indicates that it was defined by a low bank of earth and stone. It is defined by a scarp (H 2-2.5m), an intervening fosse (Wth 3m; D 1-1.2m) and a wide, low, outer bank (Wth 4m; H 1m). Both the fosse and outer bank have been levelled from N-E-SE. A depression (Wth 4m) in the scarp at NW with an accompanying causeway (Wth 2.5m) and a break (Wth 2m) in the outer bank mark the original entrance. The rath is densely overgrown with scrub.
