The National Monuments Service's description

In level, poorly drained pasture. A grass-covered, almost circular, low mound (c. 11.8m E–W; 11.5m N–S; H c. 0.5-0.85m) composed of fragments of burnt stone within a matrix of blackened soil. A shallow depression (c. 3.4m NNW–SSE; 2.6m ENE–WSW; max. D 0.4m) at NNW marks the site of the trough.
