The National Monuments Service's description

Adjoining a rath (LF023-106----) at W. This enclosure is defined by a low scarp (H 0.3-0.5m) with a shallow external fosse (Wth 1.6m; D 0.2m) from NW-N-ENE. It appears that it was originally semicircular or subrectangular in plan but its S part is occupied by a substantial bank of drainage spoil from the adjacent river, rendering interpretation difficult. The relationship between the it and the rath is unclear; it may be an annexe.
