The National Monuments Service's description
A togher (exposed L 12m; T 0.2m), composed of brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.03m), was visible for long stretches in a drain face. The elements were possibly woven in places and included a plank (0.08 by 0.16m) in the centre. The drain was aligned NNW-SSE and it may be assumed that the togher was roughly aligned along this trajectory also.
