The National Monuments Service's description
A concentration of roundwood and brushwood (overall L 14m; exposed Wth 9.5m; T 0.6m) was visible in an ESE drain face. Some wood was visible beneath the water level in the drain. The remains consisted of longitudinal rods, orientated NW-SE, along with occasional transverse, vertical or irregular brushwood and one or two possible split timbers. The field surface to the WNW had a high density of wood chips indicating that the upper levels had already been milled. (Dunne 1999, 21, 99DNSW0014A-B)
