The National Monuments Service's description

Originally recorded as consisting of eight to ten roundwoods lying on top of smaller brushwood in a WSW drain face (Dunne 1999, 4, 99LBW0005A). Excavation revealed the togher (L 1.7m min.; exposed Wth 1.2m; T 0.45m) to be orientated NNE-SSE and constructed of longitudinal roundwood and brushwood (diam. 0.12m). These were probably originally underlain by transverse elements (Dunne 2002h, 205).
