The National Monuments Service's description

On an E-facing slope in pasture. Depicted as a field boundary curving roughly from SE-S-WNW with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. The monument is cut by a laneway from WNW-N-NNE and by a field boundary from NNE-E-SE. On the 1913 ed. the boundary is more circular in plan. A raised circular area (diam. c. 38m) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 4.3m; H 0.3m), which has been modified and incorporated into a field boundary at E and SE. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded an external fosse, which has since been infilled. There is no visible trace of the monument to the NW of the now disused laneway. The original entrance is not recognisable.
