The National Monuments Service's description

On a N-facing slope in pasture. Not indicated on the 1837 or 1883 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded a raised subcircular area ( c. 23m NW-SE; c. 21m NE-SW) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone. There was no trace of a fosse. The S and W sides were fairly straight where the bank was incorporated into field boundaries. The original entrance was not recognisable. Immediately outside the bank at NW was an old quarry and a depression outside the bank at S was also probably the result of quarrying. The rath has since been levelled and is not visible at ground level.
