The National Monuments Service's description
In low-lying pasture. A raised subcircular area (c. 40m NW-SE; c. 35m NE-SW) enclosed by a low bank of earth and stone (Wth 2.8m; H 0.3m) at S and elsewhere defined by a scarp (H 0.7m). Traces of an external fosse (Wth 1.2m; D 0.2-0.4m) are evident. A report in 1976 (SMR file) recorded that the original entrance was at SE. At S a low scarp (H 0.1m) extends in an arc to the S and then to the E where it meets a N-S running field boundary, which skirts the E portion of the monument. The area (c. 17.5m N-S; c. 17m E-W) thus enclosed is irregular in plan; it may be an annexe.
