The National Monuments Service's description
Formerly located on Inchcleraun Island, this cross-slab is one of four (see also LF021-048005-, LF021-048009- and LF021-048010-) from the island now in the care of the OPW (Athenry depot, county Galway; see GA084-151004-). Bigger (1900, 84-5) recorded that it was located 'on the low wall in front of the caretaker's cottage' on the island. It consists of a subrectangular fragment of a fossiliferous limestone slab (H 0.42m; Wth 0.3m; T 0.19m) bearing a very worn, two-line, incised Latin cross with a circular expansion in the centre.
