The National Monuments Service's description

Close to the base of the NE-facing slope of a ridge. A report in 1976 (SMR file) indicates that this raised circular area (diam. c. 28m) was enclosed by a bank of earth and stone and an external fosse. It is defined by a steep scarp (H 1-1.2m). A depression (Wth 2m) in scarp at SSE may mark the original entrance.
