The National Monuments Service's description

A land grant of 1607 states that the King granted to Patrick Fox of Dublin the lands of ‘Termon-Ianaigh or Corby of Ballyroddy, containing a ruinous castle, 2½ cartrons; value, 6s 4d’ (Cal. pat. rolls Ire., Jas I, 115). The precise location of the castle has not been identified.
