The National Monuments Service's description
On a very gentle NW-facing slope in low-lying, wet pasture. Not indicated on the 1837 or 1883 eds. of the OS 6-inch map. A raised subrectangular enclosure (c. 40m NNW-SSE; c. 37m ENE-WSW) enclosed along its SSE, WSW and NNW sides by a much-denuded low bank of earth and stone (Wth 2m; H 0.2-0.3m) and an external fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.2m). Along its ENE side it is defined by a field boundary, which forms the division between the townlands of Cloghan and Castlerea Mountain. The original entrance is not recognisable. This may be a relatively modern feature.
