The National Monuments Service's description
Associated with a 17th-century fortified house (LF019-005002-). This bawn wall may be the remains of the curtain wall of a 13th-century Anglo-Norman castle (LF019-005003-). Wall-footings along the NW and NE sides indicate it was a substantial wall (H 0.5m; wall T 1.2m). No visible surface trace survives along the SE and SW sides where a 19th-century wall has been built upon its line.
