The National Monuments Service's description

A short distance off the highest point of a NW-SE ridge in pasture. Depicted as an irregular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the OS Fair Plan; the S half was tree-lined. A raised circular area (diam. 36.9m) enclosed by a bank of earth and stone with an external fosse, both of which have been modified and incorporated into a field boundary. The original entrance is not recognisable. The interior is occupied by farm buildings.
