The National Monuments Service's description
On a WSW-facing slope in pasture. Depicted as a subrectangular enclosure with the designation ‘Fort' on the 1837 edition of the OS 6-inch map. A raised rectangular area (37.7m ENE–WSW; 36.3m NNW–SSE) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 5.2m; H 1.2m), which has been modified and incorporated into a field boundary along the NE and SE sides. There is no trace of a fosse but a sunken laneway at the external base of the bank, at the W end of the SW side and along the NW side, may incorporate the line of one. There are modern entrances at the N end of the NW and SE sides. Built against the outer face of the bank at SSW are the ruins of a 19th-century house and outbuildings.
