The National Monuments Service's description

A band (exposed Wth 0.57m; T 0.04m) of approximately 25 densely packed pieces of brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.03m; L 0.05-0.06m) was exposed in an ENE drain face. Only the tips of the brushwood survived. The uniform and compact nature of the remains suggested that it may have been the end of a hurdle. However, there was no evidence of sails or worked pieces, suggesting that it was more likely to be the remains of a platform. (Dunne 1999, 51, 99BG0011A)
