The National Monuments Service's description

Originally recorded as four parallel, longitudinal roundwoods (diam. 0.07-0.12m; Wth 0.8m), exposed during milling at the E shoulder of a drain, with another displaced roundwood in the base of the drain (Dunne 1999, 49, 99BG0004A-B). The remains were oriented NNE-SSW. Located on the field surface to the SSW were a further roundwood and two pieces of brushwood (diam. 0.03-0.10m), with a similar orientation, also being milled. There was no visible evidence of woodworking. Excavation in 2002 revealed closely spaced longitudinal roundwood (exposed L 11.2m; Wth 1.2m) with worked ends, two chisel points and one pencil point, and a date range of AD 894-1015 (Whitaker 2009, 72).
