The National Monuments Service's description
On a steep NE-facing slope in pasture. Depicted as a circular enclosure with the designation 'Fort' on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map. This rath has been largely levelled due to bulldozing. The extant remains comprise a slightly raised circular area (diam. c. 40m) enclosed by a levelled bank of earth and stone (Wth c. 4m; max. H 0.25m) with an infilled external fosse (Wth 3.2m; D 0.2m). The original entrance is not recognisable. A report in 1975 (SMR file) recorded a low circular mound (diam. c. 8m), of unknown significance, immediately to the NE of the centre of the interior. This mound is not visible at ground level.
