The National Monuments Service's description

On top of a low but prominent drumlin rise. A raised oval area (39m NW-SE; 33m NE-SW) enclosed from SE-W-N by a bank of earth and stone (Wth 5-7m; H 0.3-0.95m) and elsewhere defined by a scarp (H 1.4-2.15m). A wide shallow external fosse (Wth 6m; D 0.6m) is visible from SE-SSE-S and from WNW-NW. A report in 1975 (SMR file) recorded slight traces of a low outer bank at NW and noted that the original entrance was at E.
