The National Monuments Service's description

On a low but prominent rise in pasture. A raised subcircular area (50m E-W; 46m N-S) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 5.5-5.8m; H 1.1-1.25m). Modern drystone-walling has been applied to its outer face from W-N-NNE. At the external base of the bank is a narrow drain, which is probably a modification of a fosse. A report in 1990 (SMR file) suggested that the original entrance may have been at SE.
