The National Monuments Service's description

On an ESE-facing slope in pasture. A raised circular area (diam. 36.1m) enclosed by a substantial bank of earth and stone (Wth 5.7m; H 0.4-0.8m) with a wide, deep, partially waterlogged external fosse (Wth 3.4m; D 1.55m). From NNE-NE-E a modern laneway occupies a portion of the fosse and it has been largely infilled from ESE-S-WSW. A report in 1990 (SMR file) recorded that the original entrance may have been at SE. This part of the rath is very densely overgrown with scrub. The interior slopes appreciably from WNW to ESE.
